"Faces of Humaniti"

The ethnic issue has always been one of the main themes of my work over the past 15 years ... it unites in itself, many cycles of works such as "Òhe Masks» ( «Masks"), "Mothers and Babys thе of World», «Different peorle and Finally the project "Faces of Humanity», a work in progress ... This theme is a lot to me, has different aspects.Initially, many cycles appeared unconscious. Just instinct led me painter, delight, admiration color, color, texture, dark skin, and beauty of different forms.And as the desire to learn, comprehend, or at least at the moment to touch the mystery of these people.Later came the moment of penetration, a certain spiritual affinity, portraying them, I got them, and they me. Eventually, after a long-awaited moment of travel, not only on the canvas, but in life, I had a unique opportunity and great pleasure from dialogue with the characters of their works.Their natural harmony, the pursuit of beauty in all conditions, their symbiosis with nature, courage, and at the same time unshakable joy in life, their spirituality, the diversity of experiences of pain and joy, and many other aspects of humanity have become a strong and unique discovery for me. Being engaged in professional painting all her life, I was working with different materials, various galleries, and different people to implement various projects and exhibitions in different countries, and therefore have very different viewers. But it is staying true to the theme Differences of people and their beauty in their natural coloring - painting became for me a lot more than my professional business.This topic gave me the opportunity to experience the fullness of the intellectual dialogue of the artist with the audience. Dialogue with the audience, which recounts some history, as well as with those of which tells the heroes of my stories. The project "Faces of Humanity» ( «People of the world") is also a message to the ideas of tolerance, acceptance, respect and admiration of cultivated varieties of mankind, to understand its beauty in its difference and uniqueness.I am grateful to the Gallery "Triptych" for the first presentation of my work in Kiev, and especially for the opportunity to show at least partially, this particular project. I hope that the viewer will find in my paintings the joy of admiration for people of the world, which I feel, creating them.

Этническая тема всегда была одной из главных тем моего творчества на протяжении последних 15 лет… Объединяет она в себе многие циклы работ, такие как «Тhe Masks» («Маски»), «Мothers and Bаbys of thе Wоrld», «Different peорlе» и наконец проект «Facеs of Humanity», работа над которым продолжается… Эта тема является для меня очень многим, имеет разные аспекты. Вначале многие циклы появились неосознанно. Мной просто руководил инстинкт художника, восторг, восхищение колоритом, насыщенностью цвета, фактурой темной кожи и красотой различных форм. А также желание познать, постигнуть или хотя бы на момент прикоснуться к тайне этих людей. Позже появился момент проникновения, некоего духовного родства, изображая их, я становилась ними, а они мной. Со временем, после долгожданных моментов путешествий, не только на холсте, но и в жизни я получила уникальную возможность и огромную радость от общения с героями своих работ.Их натуральная гармония, стремление к красоте в любых условиях, их симбиоз с природой, мужество и в то же время непоколебимая радость жизни, их духовность, разнообразие переживания боли и радости и многие другие аспекты человечности стали сильным и уникальным открытием для меня. Занимаясь профессионально живописью всю свою сознательную жизнь, мне довелось работать с разным материалом, разными галереями и разными людьми, реализовать различные проекты и выставки в разных странах, а соответственно иметь очень разного зрителя. Но именно оставаясь верной теме Разности людей и их красоте в их натуральном колорите – живопись стала для меня намного больше, чем моим профессиональным делом. Эта тема дала мне возможность ощутить полноту интеллектуального диалога художника со зрителем. Диалога со зрителем, которому повествую некую историю, как и с теми, о которых повествую, героями моих историй. Проект «Facеs of Humanity» («Лица мира») является также посланием идей толерантности, принятия, уважения и восхищения культурными разновидностями человечества, понимания его красоты в его разности и уникальности. Я благодарна Галерее «Триптих» за первую презентацию моих работ в Киеве, а особенно за возможность показать хотя бы частично именно этот проект. Надеюсь, что зритель найдет в моих картинах ту радость восхищения лицами мира, которую чувствую я, создавая их.

Калейдоскоп образів, які наповнюють полотна Анни Костенко, нагадує дайджест програми Юрія Сєнкєвіча про далекі краї та їх мешканців. Без зайвих ідеологічних навантажень, так само невимушено, як поводяться її герої, художниця замальовує земні паралельні культури. Художниц1 понад усе подобаються маски, ритуальний боді-арт і татуйовані фізіономії.

«Обличчя світу» – одна з її живописних серій, але насправді –загальне естетичне кредо. Папуаси бозна з яких таємничих земель, розцяцьковані представники африканських племен, картаті чудернацькі машкари, з-під яких весело блищать очі й білосніжні усмішки аборигенів – усе це персонажі українського Мік лухо-Маклая від живопису.Випускниця славетної Польської академії мистецтв, Анна давно живе в Кракові, та її творчість немислима без нескінченних цивілізаційних подорожей. Художниця цікавиться не так незвичними «марсіанськими» ландшафтами Індії, Полінезії, Африки, скільки тубільним життям. Антропологічні дослідження разом із непереборним потягом до традиційних візерунків, локальних кольорових гам, ужиткового й обрядового мистецтва – з цього й по стають її соковиті картини. Костенко не відчуває тягаря білої людини – вона просто любить людей і милується ними.
